What are the names of products to address sanitizing my home from flood waters and preventing mold growth?

Posted: August 18, 2016

Best Products To Sanitize My Home From Flood Waters

1. Diluted Bleach (1 cup bleach to 1 gallon of water) is a good disinfectant and will help sanitize all surfaces that had Condition 3 flood waters. Agitating all surfaces with a scrub brush is necessary.

2. To remediate and prevent mold additional steps must be taken to remediate what’s “under” the surface of the contaminants.Use a product that specifically states that it’s a biocide and/or antimicrobial and that it can be used in conjunction with bleach. The product must be able to penetrate the pores of the wood framing and concrete slab. We recommend EnzyMagic201 and BacShield which can be applied OVER bleach. These products are available at http://www.bestlivingsystems.com/

3. We also recommend supplemental ozone to penetrate the concealed areas that not addresses with those products.
