Tankless Water Heater

Posted: December 13, 2015

You have a new tankless on-demand water heater and you love the fact that it provides endless amounts of hot water (which is nice when you have a teenager in the house). Then the thought hits you… “How do I maintain this water heater? It doesn’t have a tank to flush out. It’s doesn’t have an anode rod. Is this going to require a call to the plumber?”

Don’t panic! Instantaneous or on-demand water heaters (AKA tankless water heaters) can be maintained and flushed out just as easily as a storage tank water heater. The method is a little different, but the benefits are the same: a longer equipment life and maintained efficiency of the unit. Check out this step by step maintenance for your tankless water heater and you won’t have to stress over the upkeep of your new, high tech water heater.  Click here to see pictures and text explanations: http://www.wikihow.com/Maintain-a-Tankless-Water-Heater
